Hopkins Art Center Exhibit
Philip Noyed showed Geometric Illuminations and Kinetic Mobiles. A patron loved the "Arising - Flying Rainbow Colors" so much that it was purchased as a permanent art installation at the art center.
Geometric Illuminations
This installation was 4'H x 25'W. I created seven of these new for the show. I curated so that the eye moved in from the left or the right and centered in the middle. The overall show had 18 Geometric Illuminations and 2 Mobiles.
ARISING: FLYING RAINBOW COLORS
25'H x 8'W x 8'D. Eight kinetic diamonds with dichroic film on acrylic. Designed to be seen from below, from the second floor, from the two staircases and from outside.
Arising: Flying rainbow colors
View from below. The colors change based on sunlight and refract colors in the building.
